whether-clause：语法术语，指由 whether 引导的从句，常用作名词性从句（主语、宾语、表语等），表达“是否…… / ……还是不……”的间接是非疑问或“究竟要不要……”的含义。口语中有时可与 if 引导的间接疑问从句部分互换，但 whether 更正式，也更常用于“选择/两难（whether…or…）”结构及某些固定位置（如句首主语从句）。
